Dr. Ella Washington is an organizational psychologist who finds inspiration through the intersection of business, diversity and leadership. Her research examines conditions of workplace cultures that best support inclusion, diversity and equity while also contributing to employee’s individual development. As a member of the management faculty at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, Dr. Washington prides herself on helping to develop and equip tomorrow’s business leaders with skills to be high-performing inclusive managers. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Washington led the global Diversity and Inclusion consulting practice at Gallup and was a talent management consultant at Ernst & Young.
I am currently seeking a Research Assistant who is able to commit 15 hours per week. This role is ongoing until filled. The duration will be confirmed based on availability and need. This role will have the opportunity to contribute research and writing expertise and work closely with Dr. Ella Washington, PhD on her ongoing projects around diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In exchange for service, the Research Assistant will receive a paid stipend.
Conducting literature reviews and business development research.
Developing written and visual deliverables (in PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Must have the hours to commit to the current projects and work well to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints.
Currently pursuing or recently completed an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in business, social sciences, quantitative or scientific disciplines
Excellent writing skills
The ability to do multidisciplinary research across multiple data sources
Ability to learn quickly and experience in producing high quality work in short periods of time
Be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship during the duration of the role
Periodic weekend and night availability
Prior knowledge of Dr. Washington’s work and/or experience in diversity, equity, & inclusion related areas desired
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, professional verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
